Trees of Lyres is the dynamic husband and wife duo of Matt and Joanie Oakes from Salem, Oregon. Matt, has been playing guitar since his high school days. Joanie, has been playing piano for 13 years. Both are vocalists as well. Their songs feature creative and thought provoking descriptions of love, life, and the questions that arise along the way. With an original sound combing elements of the Indie genre as well as Matt’s Texas roots, Trees of Lyres brings a fresh duet to the music scene.
Recently Joanie and Matt have released their first e. p. to preview their full length due out in June. The E. P. is available for purchase at shows, and online through Itunes and CDBaby.
